About Us

Art Gage

Art has been an attorney since 1984. He grew up in Douglas, Arizona attending Douglas High School. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1980 in Metallurgical Engineering and received his Juris Doctorate in 1984. He started his law career working on Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Social Security cases. In 2008 he added Veterans Benefits cases to his practice. He has been a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives since 1999, the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates since 2008 and he is a former board member and active in the legislative committee of the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers.

Art enjoys helping out in community organizations and has been very involved with youth sports and other youth programs. He is on the board of Tucson Homeless Connect and Tucson Pima Collaboration to End Homelessness. He is a 2012 graduate of Greater Tucson Leadership. He seeks out events that provide opportunities for him to get more involved in the community. Since 2008, he has been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in Arizona in Workers’ Compensation. He has been rated AV by Martindale Hubble for many years. He has been married to his wife, Jean since 1984. She is also an attorney in Tucson. They have two sons who graduated from the University of Arizona and Cornell with engineering degrees. He is an avid U of A basketball fan and enjoys travelling and exploring new places in and out of the country.

meghan perry

Meghan joined Art Gage Law in February 2012. Prior to working with Art, she was a case manager with RESCARE workforce services assisting clients with the Social Security process. Meghan is not an attorney; she is able to represent clients and receive direct payment because she passed an examination offered by The Social Security Administration. She is a member of the National Association of Disability Representatives and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.

Meghan is currently the provider coordinator for Tucson Homeless Connect. Twice a year THC organizes an event at Trinity Presbyterian Church where they provide services for 250 to 300 homeless people. These services include haircuts, homeless court, and opportunities to get IDs, opportunities to get transitional and permanent housing, medical treatment, and other assistance. She is married to her husband Chris Perry; they are proud parents to five amazing children. Meghan looks forward to assisting clients with the Social Security process.

karen gianas

Karen joined Art Gage Law in 2016 after retiring from twenty-five years on the bench. She grew up in Tucson and attended Salpointe High School and the University of Arizona. In 1978, Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has worked as a Registered Nurse specializing in critical care since she graduated; most recently at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. In 1985, Karen graduated with a Juris Doctorate. She specialized in civil litigation and became an Administrative Law Judge with the Industrial Commission of Arizona. She retired after twenty-five years on the bench and returned to the practice of law specializing in Workers’ Compensation, Social Security and Veterans Benefits.

Karen is actively involved in diverse organizations in the community from scouting to professional associations to Tucson Homeless Connect. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates and the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers. In her personal time Karen enjoys spending time with her four children and travelling, gardening and hiking.
